University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham announced Thursday the Utes have added wide receiver Darren Carrington via transfer from Oregon.
Yahoo Sports' Dr. Saturday confirmed Whittingham made the news public during an appearance on the Pac-12 Network.
Andrew Greif of The Oregonian reported Carrington was dismissed from the Ducks program in mid-July after being arrested on a misdemeanor charge of DUII earlier in the month.
The receiver made 112 catches for 1,919 yards and 15 touchdowns across three seasons at Oregon. His 606 receiving yards led the team during the 2016 campaign and his five TD receptions were tied for the most with Charles Nelson and Pharaoh Brown.
