Former Florida State, NFL receiver Travis Rudolph arrested on first-degree murder charge

LAKE PARK, Fla. — A former Florida State University football standout and ex-NFL wide receiver was arrested early Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reported.

Travis Rudolph, 25, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail shortly before 8 a.m. and was being held without bail. He is scheduled to make his first appearance before a judge Thursday at the jail.

PBSO did not immediately release the name of the person who died or the person who was injured, or report the extend of that person's injuries.
