First Responder Bowl Is Canceled Amid Severe Storms

DALLAS — No. 23 Boise State’s first appearance at Cotton Bowl Stadium on Wednesday turned into what is believed to be the first bowl game called off because of weather.

The First Responder Bowl between the Broncos and Boston College was canceled because of the threat of severe weather after a delay of nearly one and a half hours.

The game was stopped with B.C. leading by 7-0 with 5 minutes 8 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
