Ex-MMA fighter War Machine convicted on 29 of 34 counts of abuse on ex-girlfriend

Former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver -- better known as War Machine -- was found guilty Monday in Clark County District Court in Las Vegas on 29 of 34 charges for kidnapping, battery and sexual assault.

Koppenhaver, 35, legally changed his name to War Machine during his fighting career but went by his birth name during the two-week trial. He last competed with Bellator in 2013.

Three charges on Monday ended in a non-guilty verdict. Jurors remained deadlocked, however, on a pair of attempted murder charges, resulting in a mistrial. Koppenhaver will be sentenced on June 5 in Las Vegas.
