Former Iowa basketball star Roy Marble, the school's all-time leading scorer, has died.
Iowa spokesman Matt Weitzel confirmed Marble's death to The Associated Press on Friday. Marble, who had battled cancer in recent years, was 48.
Marble played for the Hawkeyes from 1986-89, scoring 2,116 points. He led Iowa to the NCAA Tournament four times, including an Elite Eight appearance in 1987.
