BATON ROUGE — Newly promoted LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger is expected to receive a $465,000 raise to $800,000 a year — more than doubling his $335,000 yearly salary as the Tigers' tight ends coach, according to new salary records released this week by LSU. His new deal, though, is nearly just half of what his predecessor, Matt Canada, made in 2017.

Salaries of LSU's new coaching hires as well as raises and contract extensions for current coaches for 2018 and beyond are subject to approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors at its monthly meeting Friday.
