Brian Kelly makes the smart move in Notre Dame's quarterback switch to Ian Book

Brian Kelly’s decision to make a pregame change at quarterback paid off in a big way for Notre Dame, which swapped Ian Book in place of former starter Brandon Wimbush and witnessed an explosion of offensive production in a 56-27 win at Wake Forest.

The Irish scored three touchdowns in both the second and third quarters, with one score aided by a short field but four spanning at least 70 yards. In total, the 566 yards in offense dwarfed the team’s output in each of its first three games, all wins, and represented a program-high since gaining 710 yards in last year’s win against the Demon Deacons.
