AUSTIN, Texas – He is not apologetic. Not in any way, shape or form.
When Sam Ehlinger, on the podium after Texas’ win over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, leaned into the mic and yelled – “Longhorn nation, we’re ba-a-a-a-a-ack!” – he was only releasing long pent-up emotion. But in the moment, at least, he might have been correct.
Whether Texas was or is back, of course, is a matter for debate.
