During Saturday night’s 44-34 loss to Oklahoma in Waco, Texas, Baylor cornerback Ryan Reid appeared to tell safety Terrell Burt to go down.
It was a peculiar play. Many players either fake or exaggerate injuries to slow down the clock nowadays, but this didn’t seem to be the case.
If Burt had an injury to his hand or elbow, for example, he needs to go down in order to get medical attention.
That feels more accurate here:
The more I watch it the more I think the Baylor kid was hurt and his teammate was telling him to stop trying to play hurt.
