Ageless Steve Spurrier is glad calendar has turned away from 2014

HOOVER, Ala. – At times last season, the ol' ball coach looked, well, old. Tired. And just maybe, ready to retire.

As South Carolina slumped from high preseason expectations to 7-6, Steve Spurrier's future became a hot topic. Tuesday morning, leading off the second day of SEC Media Days, Spurrier attempted to dispel the idea. Though he turned 70 in April, he said he was "rejuvenated" and has "no plans on quitting."

"There's two people running for president, Hillary and Trump, the same age as me," he said. "Age is just a number."

Hillary Clinton turns 68 in October.
