After 2 a.m. champion's feast of fried chicken, LSU's Ed Orgeron back to recruiting this weekend

NEW ORLEANS – Ed Orgeron didn’t really have time to celebrate.

After a four-hour game at the Superdome and a round of interviews with the news media, the LSU head football coach returned to his hotel with his wife, Kelly, early Tuesday and settled down for a feast of champions – sort of. It was around 2 a.m. Central Time.

“We didn't know what we was going to eat,” Orgeron said Tuesday morning after his team beat Clemson for the national championship, 42-25. “Somebody gave us some Popeyes fried chicken, so we took it up in the room, and she ate half of hers and I ate the rest.
