The 2017 NCAA Tournament field has officially been released, and there were very few surprises.
Defending champions Villanova earned the top overall seed in the tournament, with Kansas, North Carolina and Gonzaga earning the other No. 1 seeds.
Northwestern also made the tournament for the first time in the school's history, and they were the only power conference program who had never made the big dance.
