Clemson vs. Oklahoma, Alabama vs. Michigan State In College Football Playoff

The College Football Playoff committee released their final rankings of the 2015 season, setting the four-team field for the playoff.

There were no surprises at the top of the standings as Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Michigan State finished the season in the top four. The Sooners locked up their spot with a win over Oklahoma State in their regular season finale, winning the Big 12 title, while the other three won their respective conference championship games yesterday.

Alabama won the SEC by beating Florida 29-15 behind another dominant performance from Derrick Henry, while Clemson held off a fiesty North Carolina squad to win the ACC title 45-37 and Michigan State used a last-minute touchdown from running back L.J. Scott to knock off previously undefeated Iowa 16-13 in the Big Ten Championship.

No. 1 Clemson will take on No. 4 Oklahoma in the Captial One Orange Bowl in Miami, while No. 2 Alabama and No. 3 Michigan State will square off in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl in Dallas in the two playoff semifinals. Both games will be played on December 31.

Michigan State's victory over No. 4 Iowa pushed them from No. 5 to No. 3, jumping Oklahoma, who was ranked No. 3 last week.

The Sooners were the only team of the four who did not play in a conference championship game this weekend (Big 12 is only Power 5 conference without a title game).
