The AP Top 25 looks very different this week. After a weekend of college football filled with upsets, that shouldn't be a surprised. No. 2, 3 and 4 all lost and five of the Top 10 teams lost as well. Alabama is now the unanimous number one team in the nation. This week's poll could also provide some insight into how the second College Football Playoff Rankings will shake out. Those are released Tuesday night.
With Top 10 teams in Texas A&M and Auburn losing, there are two new Top 10 teams. West Virginia and Penn State are now ranked in the Top 10. Penn State was in the Top 10 of the College Football Playoff rankings last week, but not the AP Poll.
With Baylor losing to Oklahoma losing, USC has entered the Top 25, thanks to a win over Washington. North Carolina and Virginia Tech also dropped out, with Troy and San Diego State replacing them.
