The AP Top 25 Poll underwent some notable changes in Week 5 of the college football season. USC dropped nine spots following their loss to Washington State on Friday night, while Georgia took their place in the top five following a win over Tennessee.
Mississippi State and LSU both dropped out of the rankings with disappointing losses on Saturday. As a result, NC State and UCF have made their first appearances in the rankings this season.
