March Madness is here, and with the play-in round tipping off on Tuesday, there isn't much time left to pick those brackets. For those of us who only become aware of college basketball in late February, deciding what school you should be pulling for is never easy...but fortunately, we've put together this handy list of the most lovable teams in March Madness to help you figure it out.
The Bluejays are one of the more popular underdogs right now, and it's all thanks to Doug McDermott. "Dougie McBuckets" is this year's tournament star who you'll probably never hear from again (see Morrison, Adam), so it's important that we enjoy him while we still can. If you can name more than two other players on Creighton's basketball team, you're probably one of them.
Dougie McBuckets highlights (we recommend putting that video on mute and listening to this while you watch instead):
Dayton is another lovable underdog, and their first-round matchup against Ohio State will be a classic David vs. Goliath battle. We fully expect Goliath to win by at least 25, but if the scrappy Flyers somehow make it past the Buckeyes, they'll become a trendy pick to get blown out by Syracuse in the next round.
