There are few players in the NBA who know more about Victor Wembanyama than Rudy Gobert.
The two unusually tall Frenchmen have known each other for years, with the 31-year-old Gobert imparting wisdom to the 20-year-old Wembanyama as he made his journey to the NBA.
A good portion of NBA fans got their first look more than three years ago at Wembanyama, then 16 years old and playing with Nanterre 92 in France, when he played a game of two-on-two against Gobert and former NBA center Vincent Poirier in an empty gym.
