The Browns have suspended cornerback K'Waun Williams following an injury dispute, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. The suspension, for conduct detrimental to the team, will be for two weeks.
Williams and the Browns have been at odds since the cornerback missed the team’s first preseason game, reports Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot. Williams sustained an ankle injury during practice last week, and sat himself before the Browns’ game against the Packers last Friday after he felt he was too sore to play, according to Cabot.
The team announced before the game Williams was sitting out for a personal reason, apparently in disagreement over the ankle injury.
