NBA talent sparks Aussies over Serbia in Rio

Rio de Janeiro (AFP) - Patty Mills scored 26 points while Matthew Dellavedova contributed 23 points and 13 assists to power Australia over Serbia 95-80 at the Rio Olympics on Monday.

The two NBA standouts and Andrew Bogut, who won an NBA crown with Golden State last year, sparked the Boomers to a 2-0 start in Group A. Bogut, now with Dallas, had nine points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Miroslav Raduljica scored 25 points to lead Serbia, which fell to 1-1 at Rio. Serbian captain Milos Teodosic added 17 points while Bogdan Bogdanovic had 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
