Mavericks' Cooper Flagg youngest in NBA history to score 40

SALT LAKE CITY -- Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg became the youngest player in NBA history to score 40 points after he dropped 42 in a 140-133 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz.

Flagg, who turns 19 on Sunday, had seven rebounds and six assists as well as two blocks and a steal in an early career performance from the No. 1 overall pick. He's the third teenager in NBA history with at least 40 points, five rebounds and five assists, joining LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
