Andre Iguodala, a four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, has announced his retirement nearly two decades after entering the league.
The former NBA Finals Most Valuable Player told Andscape on Friday morning that he is retiring from the NBA. In 19 seasons, Iguodala averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 1,231 games. The 2012 NBA All-Star said he turned down interest from the Warriors and several other teams before deciding to retire.
"It's just the right time," Iguodala, 39, told Andscape in a phone interview. "Time started to get limited for me and I didn't want to put anything in the back seat.
