Los Angeles (AFP) - A Tennessee high school basketball team's season has been cancelled after three players were charged with rape over a hazing case that left a team-mate requiring surgery, reports said Thursday.

Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith told Chattanoogan.com that the decision to end Ooltewah High School's season had been taken "so that the criminal justice system can work the way we expect.
