Last season the Nuggets finished 40-42, one game behind eighth-seeded Portland, making it the fourth straight season Denver has missed the playoffs. Their offensive talent carried them to the ninth seed as they averaged 111.7 points per game. However, their defense was the main reason for their shortcomings last year.
