NBA Rumors: Bol Bol Debut Coming? Skinny Carmelo Anthony | OKC Thunder News & NBA Scrimmage Schedule

NBA teams will begin their scrimmage games this week on Wednesday afternoon in Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Each team’s debut exhibition game will be shortened with all four quarters only being 10 minutes each as opposed to the normal 12-minute quarters. Every NBA team will only play three scrimmage games before beginning their eight seeding games leading up to the NBA playoffs. The eight seeding games will start on July 30th in Orlando.

The Denver Nuggets are currently the third seed in the Western Conference thanks to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. However, the Nuggets have not yet seen the debut of rookie big man, Bol Bol. Bol was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft after suffering a foot injury at Oregon that made him a huge question mark for teams. Bol is now healthy, and the 7-foot-3 center has been playing in multiple lineups during the Nuggets’ practices in Orlando. If Bol Bol can make an impact for an already deep Nuggets team, the Western Conference could be in big trouble for this year and years to come.

Carmelo Anthony is officially rocking a new physique. Anthony was spotted on social media with a much slimmer figure than when the NBA was in season around march. Despite playing the small forward position the majority of his career, Carmelo Anthony has been slotted at the power forward position for the majority of his time with the Portland Trail Blazers. Carmelo Anthony says he wanted to get down to 230-235 pounds before the season restarted so that he could slide back to the small forward position with guys like Rodney Hood and Trevor Ariza being out in Orlando.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises in the entire NBA this season. One of the biggest surprises on the Thunder has been rookie Luguentz Dort. Dort started the year on a two-way contract, but that has since been converted into a regular NBA contract after he started 21 of the 29 games he has appeared in for the Thunder. One of the reasons Dort has played so much this year is because Andre Roberson is still nursing a knee injury he suffered in 2018. Roberson has been a full participant in practices in Orlando and may play real NBA minutes for the first time in over 30 months.
