NBA News & Rumors: Bojan Bogdanovic Injury, Spencer Dinwiddie’s GoFundMe, Rudy Gobert to the Mavs?

The NBA is slowly attempting to make a comeback, but one player that is unfortunately set to miss the rest of the NBA season is Bojan Bogdanovic of the Utah Jazz. Bogdanovic has been one of the best shooters in the NBA this season as one of two players averaging at least 20 points per game, while shooting 40% from three and 90% from the free throw line. The Utah Jazz are expected to insert Joe Ingles back into the starting lineup now that Bojan Bogdanovic is out with his wrist surgery.

Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets is set to become a free agent after the 2020-21 NBA season, and he is taking a unique approach to his free agency. Dinwiddie is attempting to raise $24.6 million from fans so that they can decide where he will sign a one-year deal. If Spencer Dinwiddie cannot raise the money, he will donate whatever he does raise to charity, and at this point, it doesn’t look like he’s going to raise anywhere close to the $24.6 million he wants.

Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz has been in the middle of a lot of controversy since the NBA season has been on break, and now Bleacher Report has a brand new trade idea to send him to the Dallas Mavericks. In this latest idea, the Utah Jazz would send Rudy Gobert to the Dallas Mavericks for Maxi Kleber, Seth Curry, Boban Marjanovic, Justin Jackson and the Mavs’ 2020 1st-round pick. The Mavs are expected to pursue Gobert in 2021 free agency, so there is little reason to believe they would give up four players and a draft pick for someone they can sign a year down the road.

The NBA Draft lottery has been moved, along with the NBA combine, but one thing that will remain the same no matter what is the the draft lottery formula. The bottom three teams will all have an equal chance at the number one overall pick, while the fourth and fifth worst teams will have a 12.5% chance and 10.5% chance at the number one pick, respectively. Those bottom three teams this year are the Golden State Warriors, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
