The NBA season is getting set to start on Thursday night with Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz set to take on Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans at 5:30 PM (CT), followed by LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers going up against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers at 8:00 PM (CT). Although the Clippers are set to tip off the season, they will be without 6th Man of the Year candidate Lou Williams, who reportedly went to a gentleman’s club in Atlanta after attending the viewing of a family friend who recently passed away.

One team that is on the Clippers’ tail in the Western Conference is the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are led by Nikola Jokic, but another big has stepped up for the Nuggets in the scrimmages in Bol Bol. Bol Bol faced multiple injuries throughout college and his time in the G-League, but he has been healthy since joining the team in Orlando and has been a key to success for the Nuggets in their first two scrimmages.
The New York Knicks made their head coaching hire in former Bulls and Timberwolves head coach, Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau was considered the favorite for the majority of the offseason, and the Knicks made it official over the weekend. The Knicks will look to take major steps in the right direction after another disappointing finish at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Thibodeau has been praised for his ability to raise the defensive level of teams, but the Knicks need help anywhere and everywhere they can get it.
Bam Adebayo has been one of the most improved players in the NBA this season for the Miami Heat. Despite that, the Miami Heat are considering not extending his contract past 2021 so that they can be major players in the 2021 summer when Giannis, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard are free agents.
Andre Roberson returned to action for the Oklahoma City Thunder and had an immediate impact for the Thunder in both of his first two scrimmages. Roberson hasn’t played basketball in over two years, but in his first two games with the Thunder, he proved that he can still be a very good defender and showed off an improved three-point jumpshot.
