According to Donald Trump, Donald Sterling Was "Set Up" By His Girlfriend

For some reason (maybe because he's also an old white guy named Donald?), Fox and Friends decided to bring on Donald Trump to discuss the Donald Sterling situation Monday morning. Clippers owner Sterling, 80, is under investigation by the NBA after TMZ and Deadspin obtained a recording of him telling his girlfriend, V. Stiviano, not to publicly associate with black people.

Trump moved quickly to condemn the comments, calling them "despicable", but his thoughts on the recording itself were interesting, to say the least:

“He got set up by a very, very bad girlfriend, let’s face it. She’s called ‘the girlfriend from hell.’ What he said was terrible and despicable and a very strong action is going to be taken.”

Trump was asked whether Sterling could defend himself because the comments were part of a private conversation:

“I don’t know what you do, it’s so bad. She was baiting him and she’s a terrible human being and he gave horrible answers and disgusting answers.”
