The 2020 NBA MVP award will be voted on by the NBA experts this week, which means it will only take into account the regular season before the NBA went on a break in March and moved the season to Orlando. Leading up to the break, there were five players that should be in the discussion for NBA MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers & James Harden of the Houston Rockets.

LeBron James has had an amazing season creating for his teammates and has led the Los Angeles Lakers to the top seed in the Western Conference. LeBron James is averaging a league-best 10 assists per game and has one of the best running mates in the NBA in Anthony Davis. Does having a Defensive Player of the Year in Anthony Davis take away from LeBron James’ incredible season?
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the 2020 NBA MVP. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading his team to a historically outstanding season, and the Milwaukee Bucks are the number one team in the NBA. Giannis is third in the league in both points per game and rebounds per game and leads the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating. There is no one in the NBA putting numbers up like Giannis Antetokounmpo is this season.
