2018 NBA Awards: James Harden Wins MVP, Ben Simmons Wins Rookie Of The Year, Rudy Gobert Wins DPOY

With the 2017-18 NBA season officially in the books, the NBA Awards show finally gave us our MVP, rookie, coach and defensive players of the year including the most improved player award. Rockets PG James Harden won his first KIA NBA MVP award, defeating LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Jazz C Rudy Gobert won Defensive Player of the Year over Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis despite playing in only 53 games this season.

76ers PG Ben Simmons won Rookie of the Year over Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum, despite the controversy surrounding whether or not he should actually be considered a rookie. Pistons HC Dwane Casey took home the Coach of the Year trophy despite getting fired by the Toronto Raptors. He beat Brad Stevens and Quin Snyder to take home the reward.
