Though Navy and Holy Cross come into this weekend’s Patriot League best-of-three semifinal matchup with converse records, recent history shows the top-seeded Mids will have their hands full against the fourth-seeded Crusaders.
Navy enters with a 36-13 overall record and 18-7 regular-season conference mark and Holy Cross is 17-25 and 11-14, but the Mids only beat the defending league tournament champions in three of the five games between the two teams, with pitching the key in four of the five outcomes.
