New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is slated to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Donald Trump Thursday, according to multiple reports citing a White House official.
The event has not been added to the president’s official schedule, and the Boston Globe reported there is no certainty Belichick will show up at the White House to receive it.
Stacey James, spokesperson for the New England Patriots, did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Belichick would be the latest in a long line of sports figures to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump.
