Justice Swett had offers to play basketball at several smaller schools in her home state of Tennessee. Lipscomb University and Tennessee Tech were among the schools that recruited the Nashville native.
However, Swett wanted to get away from home and broaden her horizons. The Ensworth High product was also considering following in her older brother's footsteps by attending a service academy.
Swett was in Maryland for a club lacrosse tournament and decided to visit the Naval Academy while in the area. She stopped by the basketball office, but it was summertime and the coaching staff was out recruiting.
