Spencer sets record as Loyola routs Navy, 18-5

BALTIMORE – It was obvious from the outset that Loyola was on its game and Navy was not.

The Greyhounds struck quickly as long stick midfielder Ryan McNulty scored in transition with just under three minutes elapsed. That goal came off a Midshipmen turnover, one of many on the day.

Navy did a decent job of possessing the ball in the first quarter, but had several high-percentage attempts stopped by Loyola goalie Jacob Stover, who was extremely sharp.

Navy keeper Ryan Kern, however, was not seeing the ball well at all and gave up goals on several perimeter shots he usually would save.
