Specialty role is a snap for Navy's Querry

Navy football has been blessed with a series of outstanding long snappers.

Joe Cardona set a new standard during his time as a four-year starter, developing into the top long snapper in college football. The 6-foot-3, 236-pounder was almost perfect in all aspects of the position and became a fifth round draft choice of the New England Patriots, for whom he has started the past three seasons.

Josh Antol succeeded Cardona as Navy’s starting long snapper and made sure there was no drop-off in performance during his two seasons as the starter. Antol, just like Cardona, was not charged with any bad snaps that led to failed place kicks.
