Keenan Reynolds did a classy thing during Navy's annual football banquet last month.
During his time at the podium, Reynolds publicly passed the torch to Tago Smith — his successor as starting quarterback.
"The offense is now yours," said Reynolds, speaking directly to Smith.
Smith was asked about the gesture following Navy's second spring practice on Tuesday.
"It feels good to know that somebody of Keenan's stature has given me the reins to the team," Smith said.
During that same banquet, something happened that spoke volumes about the challenge Smith faces in replacing Reynolds.
