Senior offensive leaders confident Navy football triple option will regain form following period of reflection

Jasper was stripped of his offensive coordinator title by athletic director Chet Gladchuk in the wake of Navy only managing 68 total yards and six first downs in a 23-3 loss to the Falcons.

The Midshipmen mustered just 32 rushing yards, their lowest output since being held to 35 by Connecticut in 2002. The Falcons committed seven defenders to shutting down the triple-option rushing attack and starting quarterback Xavier Arline was unable to complete passes to keep them honest.

It was an even worse offensive showing than last season’s loss to rival Army, during which Navy was held scoreless and was limited to four first downs, 117 total yards and 108 rushing yards.
