The Patriot League announced another round of schedule adjustments Tuesday afternoon, and the importance of playing pod games means the second Army-Navy men’s basketball doubleheader has been canceled.
Navy will instead make up a previously postponed doubleheader against American the weekend of Feb 20-21. Those two schools were supposed to play twice this past weekend but both games were postponed due to a positive test within the Navy program.
“It’s important to get these pod games in. Obviously, the league office felt the games against American took precedence over the games against Army,” Navy coach Ed DeChellis said.
