Reynolds says East-West Shrine Game experience was a success

Keenan Reynolds was disappointed about not being able to play in the East-West Shrine Game, but believes the event as a whole was a success.

Reynolds served as team captain and handled the pregame coin flip while in uniform. However, the record-setting Navy quarterback then returned to the locker room and took off his pads, unable to play in the game, held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, due to back spasms.

"I'm a competitor so I was definitely upset to not be able to go," Reynolds said. "That being said, I thought the week went great.
