The first pitch of the Patriot League Championship Finals between Navy and Army has been delayed until Saturday because of rain.
The league’s tournament finals for baseball were slated to begin at 1 p.m. Friday, with regular-season champion Navy hosting rival West Point in Game 1 of a best-of-three series to determine the league’s champion and representative in the NCAA Tournament.
But after several days of rain with more in the forecast for Friday, Navy announced that Game 1 will now take place at noon Saturday. The series is being played in Annapolis.
