It did not take long for Sarah Childress to earn the nickname “Chill” or “Chilly” from teammates on the Navy women’s lacrosse team.
Obviously, that is a play off her last name, but it is also fits with the Severna Park High graduate’s personality.
“Chilly is a pretty laid-back person. She is the type who just goes with the flow,” Navy assistant coach Gabby Capuzzi said.
“Sarah has one of the best personalities on the team. She is very friendly, outgoing and bubbly,” close friend and classmate Jenna Collins said.
Childress has certainly taken a casual approach to being moved around the lacrosse field over the course of her collegiate career at Navy.
