Sophmore attack Meg O'Donnell was the hero as Navy narrowly avoided an upset in the semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament.
O'Donnell scored four goals, including the game-winner with 3:21 to go, to lift second-seeded Navy to a thrilling 9-8 victory over No. 4 Lehigh on Friday night at Ridley Athletic Complex.
O'Donnell gave Navy only its second lead of the game when she scored from the crease with time winding down. O'Donnell took a pass in traffic from sophomore midfielder Andie O'Sullivan and somehow avoided stick checks from two defenders and shot the ball into the top corner.
