No bus, no problem: Navy takes Uber to game then routs High Point

Navy’s women’s lacrosse team found itself stranded at the team hotel on Friday afternoon when the bus it was supposed to take to Klockner Stadium broke down.

How do you transport a 50-person traveling party — 38 players, four coaches and eight support staff — without a bus?

This is the Navy, which prides itself for being strategic and resourceful. The Midshipmen used 10 Uber vehicles and two private cars to drive everyone over to the University of Virginia sports complex.

Good thing sports information director Scott Strasemeier brought his Sport Utility Vehicle on this trip.
