Brown used its high-powered, up-tempo offense to blow out opponents most of the season.

Forced into a low-scoring, back-and-forth dogfight on Saturday, the host Bears relied on defense and intangibles to escape an upset bid and get back to the NCAA Tournament semifinals for the first time in 22 years.

Goalkeeper Jack Kelly, faceoff specialist Will Gural and attackman Kylor Bellistri were the difference-makers as fifth-seeded Brown withstood a valient effort by Navy and earned an 11-9 victory in an NCAA quarterfinal.

Kelly made 12 saves to key a strong defensive performance, Gural dominated the draws and Bellistri sparked the offense with six point as the Bears advanced to the Final Four for the first time since 1994.
