Boston University scored the final three goals, including the game-winner by freshman midfielder James Burr 2:46 into the second overtime period, to upset the16th-ranked Navy men's lacrosse team, 10-9, Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field in Boston. It marked the second game this season in which the Mids have lost in double overtime (12-11 vs. Johns Hopkins).
"To be so close and come up short with a loss hurts," said fifth-year Navy head coach Rick Sowell. "A year ago we were winning these close games, but we've come up on the short end of two double-overtime games this season, so we need to find a way to get over the hump.
