First place in the Patriot League, and quite possibly the right to host the postseason tournament, will be on the line when Navy hosts Loyola in women’s lacrosse on Saturday.
The sixth-ranked Greyhounds and No. 12 Midshipmen come into the contest with identical 4-0 conference records. The winner will gain a leg up on capturing the regular season championship and hosting the Patriot League Tournament as a result.
“It’s a big game, without a doubt. We know how unbelievably tough Loyola is and how much talent is on that team,” Navy head coach Cindy Timchal said.
