Head coach Ken Niumatalolo talked to the Navy football team longer than usual following Wednesday’s practice.
The Midshipmen had just completed the final workout before traveling to Houston and Niumatalolo wanted to make sure they understood the importance of Friday’s game.
Niumatalolo started off calmly, pointing out that Houston has a good football team and noting it is difficult to win on the road. The 10th-year head coach noted that it is sometimes difficult to focus on football over the Thanksgiving holiday since players would miss spending time with their families.
