NAVY TRACK & FIELD: Outdoor captain Sean Richards concluded his javelin career at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Wednesday evening at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Richards finished 22nd overall in the javelin with a top throw of 61.35m (201-03). Richards is the first javelin thrower to compete at the NCAA Championship since Jay Stell earned All-America accolades in the event in 2016.
Richards finished ahead of Patriot League Champion August Cook of Army West Point, who posted a distance of 61.10m (200-05) to finish 23rd.
