Austin Grebe took up placekicking at the Pop Warner level when he realized it was a valuable commodity.
"In youth football, if you kicked the extra point you got two points instead of one," Grebe recalled when asked what first got him interested in the specialty.
An accomplished soccer player, Grebe quickly discovered he could regularly boot the football through the uprights and earn his team that additional point.
Grebe now plies his trade with the Navy football team and has been quite successful since replacing Nick Sloan as the primary placekicker midway through last season.
