Navy women's lacrosse must replace historic senior class

Head coach Cindy Timchal believes she has developed the Navy women’s lacrosse program to the point it survives graduation losses, however severe.

That theory will be tested this season as Timchal must replace the most accomplished senior class in the 12-year history of Navy women’s lacrosse.

Gone are the renowned Collins twins, who combined to produce 583 points during their prolific careers. Jenna Collins ranks second on Navy’s all-time scoring list with 331 points while Julia Collins stands fourth with 252.

Jenna Collins was a three-time Patriot League Midfielder of the Year and became the first player in Navy history to be named first team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.
