When Larry Bock assesses the Navy volleyball team, the Mids' sixth-year coach is reminded of other teams representing the academy.
"I think we've taken good cues from other successful Navy teams here, particularly the football team,'' Bock said. "We just have really athletic kids, not necessarily big kids, but real bright, motivated people. And we don't make many mistakes. We've gone from a place where this group is merely annoying to really dangerous.''
Bock's team will need to show its dangerous side on Saturday when the Mids travel to play American University in a Patriot League Tournament semifinal.
